In addition to serving on the Executive Committee of the Board, Libby has been an active partner for Executive Director, Nevin Bansal, in executing events, initiatives, and other programs.

“Libby is such an amazing contributor to Small Biz Cares.  I value her experience, her attitude, and her commitment to what we are building.  I don’t believe we would be where we are today without her effort and enthusiasm.” – Nevin Bansal, Executive Director

In addition, to leading governance efforts for Small Biz Cares, Libby has brought her nonprofit experience to help Small Biz Cares operate more effectively.  Libby is now helping to drive membership and marketing efforts for Small Biz Cares through our work on the Board.

We asked Libby to share more about herself, her company, and what she and her organization do to support the community.

What led you to start Schooley Mitchell?

A desire to help small business owners thrive.

What’s your business’s biggest challenge?

Getting people to believe we really do increase their business’s bottom line. Our services are net positive. We only get paid if we save you money and we only share in the savings for a limited time.

What product/service do you provide?

Cost reduction for businesses

Tell us about one cause your company has supported. How did you make an impact?

My business has been supporting Small Biz Cares and the causes it is supporting. By supporting and engaging with Small Biz Cares activities, I’m able to support many different causes. In addition my business supports the LPGA Amateur Golf Association and The First Tee of Central Ohio.

How do you engage your employees in the community?

I’m my only employee. I engage with Small Biz Cares and its activities because it’s an easy way for me to have lots of impact, when otherwise I simply wouldn’t have the resources nor time to do so.

What would you like the community to know about your company and how it’s making an impact?

Besides volunteering in and raising funds for nonprofits through Small Biz Cares, my business helps nonprofits save money on their overhead expenses, freeing up their precious funding for them to use in mission-central activities.
