How does your business get involved in the community? 

Outreach Promos is the Founding Member and Sponsor for Small Biz Cares. From creation of the organization to branding and management of the organization, Outreach Promos has taken the lead in helping engage the small business community for good.

In less than a few sentences, can you share an impact story from the past year? 

In the last year, Outreach Promos increased its sponsorship in Small Biz Cares, allowing the organization to hire its first employee to manage programs and community engagement. This important investment has allowed Small Biz Cares to increase funding, put on creative events and make a bigger impact in the community.

How does your business get involved in the community? 

Ahola prioritizes philanthropy and community outreach, even offering Paid Volunteer Time Off to all our employees. We also provide our employees with the option to donate a portion of their pay to non-profit organizations each paycheck. We’ve developed seasonal programs supporting many different charitable organizations including Small Biz Cares, Toys for Tots, Malachi House, Ronald McDonald House, Pathway Caring for Children, Coalition for the Homeless, Susan G. Komen, & many more.

In less than a few sentences, can you share an impact story from the past year? 

Recently, members of our leadership team used their Paid Volunteer Time Off to prepare and pack meals for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Vaco is actively involved in the local community through our involvement with several local philanthropic organizations. We proudly support Small Biz Cares, Pan-Ohio, The American Heart Association, and Goodwill, among others.

Through Vaco’s partnership with Small Biz Cares, we have found an avenue to network and provide resources to small businesses and solopreneurs, as well as participate in meaningful philanthropic events providing real impact in our local community.

What does your business do? 

HW&Co. is a certified public accounting and consulting firm specializing in, among other areas, the nonprofit industry. We provide accounting, audit, tax, and advisory services to over 100 nonprofit providers throughout Ohio.

How does your business get involved in the community? 

HW&Co.’s commitment to the community is evident through our involvement in a variety of nonprofit sponsorships, fundraisers, promotional events, and professional services. For example, the HW Nonprofit Advisors Group frequently sponsors golf outings, galas, and other events to raise money for nonprofits that provide important services for Columbus communities. In addition, many of our professionals volunteer at nonprofit organizations throughout Ohio, including sitting on boards of directors and/or participating on their committees. Our firm’s philosophy is to support nonprofits broadly—with tax and audit compliance and with our time and commitment to them.

Throughout the year, we provide free educational opportunities through webinars, in-person events, industry-related articles, speaking engagements, and more to educate nonprofits on topics that help them run their organizations more efficiently and successfully. To support as many local nonprofit organizations as possible, we often provide our events free of charge to nonprofit professionals and nonprofit board members.
