Winter Warmup Collection Drive benefitting Star House

We’re collecting items at all COhatch locations through Dec. 16th for youth experiencing homelessness.

With temperatures dropping and eviction moratoriums ending, the need for warm weather clothing and basic hygienic needs for Central Ohio residents is increasing rapidly. This year’s winter collection drive will benefit Star House. Through December 16th, Small Biz Cares and COhatch are collecting new or gently worn, adult-size, warm weather clothing and new hygiene products (see full list below) for youth experiencing homelessness.

About Star House: Star House is a social service agency that operates Central Ohio’s only drop-in center for youth, ages 14-24 who are experiencing homelessness, and their small children. Star House offers young people a safe respite from the streets, immediate access to basic needs and connections to stabilizing resources, such as housing, transportation, health care, employment, education, addiction services, legal aid, government benefits, ID cards and more. In addition, along with Finance Fund and the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA), Star House operates Carol Stewart Village (CSV)—a neighborhood for young adults, ages 18-24, with on-site programs and services.

To Donate Items: Please drop off new or gently used items from the lists below at any of the 9 Central Ohio COhatch locations or at our Outreach Promotional Solutions/Small Biz Cares Office (Downtown Columbus), 111 Liberty St, Ste 101, Columbus OH 43215

Don’t have items to donate? You can make a contribution to Small Biz Cares, and we will use those funds raised to donate new clothing, coats and toiletries on your behalf:
