Small Biz Cares: Summer of Service Opportunities

This Summer, Small Biz Cares his helping mobilize volunteers to get involved in helping local nonprofits.  We have 5 nonprofit partners that have opportunities this summer.

Neighborhood Services Inc. (NSI Food Pantry)

Mission: NSI Food Pantry is dedicated to serving the community kindly, respectfully and equitably.

Service Opportunity: Daily volunteer events in our food pantry.

Mission: Providing support for kids and teens fighting cancer and their families.

Service Opportunity: Volunteers needed to support The Dairy Building at The Ohio State Fair. Volunteers will serve ice cream in an air conditioned part of the fair where the iconic ‘dairy cow’ is on display. They also receive a free meal and free admission to the fair!

Cornerstone of Hope

Mission: Cornerstone of Hope offers grieving individuals and families a safe space to cope with their loss and emerge from their pain with a renewed sense of purpose.

Service Opportunities:

  • Saturday, June 20th, Kids Festival Table. 10a-4p
  • Saturday, June 27th, Spike the Stigma Table, 12p-5p
  • Saturday, July 18th, Memorial Butterfly Release, 8a-12p
  • Answer phones and help with some admin and event work on Fridays between 9a-4p at our office in Westerville.

Service Opportunity: Join Keep Columbus Beautiful, in partnership with The Onion Bag Project, for a multi-river cleanup.

We’re committed to keeping Ohio’s waterways pristine and beautiful for everyone to enjoy. With so many people enjoying them, keeping them clean takes all of us.

Come out, enjoy the fresh air, meet great people, and make a real impact in your community. Whether you’re a first-time volunteer or a regular, your time truly makes a difference!
